Benjamin Shell

I graduated from Sacramento State University in May 2007 with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Although I'm continuing to pursue web development, computer graphics, and photography more than engineering, I've always been mechanically inclined and I love to build things.

For my senior year in engineering I worked with two other students to build a very impressive final project. We built an underwater robot (ROV) with lights and a camera that was joystick controlled from a laptop.

I was the natural leader of the group, providing insight based on my previous experiences with mechanical design, fabrication, electronics interfacing, and computer software development. All three of us worked very hard to complete the project and we're very pleased with the results. More information (plus photos and videos) is available on our project website, SeaHornet.org
